- For crimped grain drier than 30% MC

Whilst the optimal stage to harvest cereals to achieve maximum dry matter yield and livestock performance is 25-45%, in which case Crimpsafe 300 should be used, Crimpsafe Hi-Dry allows drier grains to be processed and stored in the same way.
This is ideal for those wishing to process and ensile grain at harvest but need it to flow through ad-lib hoppers, or if weather has prevented an earlier harvest.
As there is insufficient fermentable substrate (sugar) left at this moisture content to allow a fermentation, the product is based around non-corrosive propionic acid with added ammonium propionate, potassium sorbate and benzoic acid to kill yeast and molds which would otherwise cause spoilage.
Application Rates
- <20% moisture: 4-5 litres/tonne
- 20-30% moisture: 5-6 litres/tonne
